L.I.F.E. (Learning and Integrating Film Education) Academy High School for Film & Music is a small school located on the third floor of the Lafayette Educational Campus. At Life Academy High School for Film and Music, we infuse the study of film, the art of filmmaking, audio production and new media into engaging, student centered and project-based courses. We focus on building communication skills in writing, presentation and creativity. Our Advisory program helps each student develop personal relationships and positive citizenship. We seek students who want to learn in an exciting atmosphere of excellence and creative collaboration.
Through the study of film, every L.I.F.E. Academy High School student will demonstrate college readiness, positively impact the community, and creatively frame their understanding of the world through the analysis of multiple perspectives.
As an ISA (Institute for Student Achievement) school, we deeply believe in personalization and support of our students. L.I.F.E. (Learning and Integrating Film Education) Academy is a small, safe, college preparatory environment where students pursue their learning in an atmosphere supported by the entire school community. Through the integration of film and academics, L.I.F.E. Academy students develop creative and technical skills to prepare them for college and career endeavors. Teachers emphasize inquiry, project, and performance-based assessments to engage the whole child. Students are encouraged to think critically, develop their unique talents, and give back generously to the community.
